Brand Photography Session in Birmingham, Alabama | Lava Candle Co

Capturing small businesses that are built from something personal is always special to me, and this session with Lava Candle Company was one of those. Based in Birmingham, Lava Candle Company is a luxury, all-natural candle brand created by a mother and daughter. Everything is made with clean, non-toxic ingredients and a focus on sustainability, which made this session feel even more intentional.

We photographed everything inside her home, which was the perfect setting. The space was light-filled, warm, and naturally aligned with the brand, so nothing felt forced or overdone. One of my favorite parts was seeing her daughter be part of the process she’s a full Swiftie and was right there helping with the candles, which added such a personal layer to the session.

We focused on a mix of product, lifestyle, and detail shots to capture not just the candles, but how they exist in a space and feel in everyday life.
