I recently had the privilege of collaborating with Stephanie, the creative force behind Lava Candle Co., to capture the essence of her brand in a branding session that was not only professionally enriching but also wonderfully personal.
Stephanie welcomed me into her cozy home, where the magic of her handcrafted candles comes to life. From the very beginning, we both shared a vision of making this session as intimate and authentic as possible. To achieve this, we decided to shoot the session in her candle studio, which also happens to be her sunroom. It was the perfect setting, flooded with natural light that beautifully highlighted the artistry behind Lava Candle Co. Stephanie's home was a visual delight, adorned with natural color palettes and subtle wood accents. This aesthetic not only reflected the brand's commitment to clean and natural products but also set the tone for our shoot.
One of the most enlightening aspects of this experience was learning about the intricacies of candle care. Stephanie graciously shared her expertise, offering insights into the candle-making process and the importance of using toxin-free materials. It was fascinating to observe her and her mini helper, likely the youngest candle enthusiast, as they crafted a candle from scratch. The soundtrack to this creative endeavor?
